A perfect day, gorgeous sunshine and 30 knot winds, so after being a little overpowered yesterday I took my 4.5m and big board across to the beach.

The tide was high, but that was OK, but there just wasn't really engouh wind. I need 35 knots really for the 4.5m when the wind is so onshore and that just wasn't quite happening. I could get going, but couldn;t get upwind, so ended up with a walk of shame. In the end I sailed right across the mouth of the estuary hoping to gain some ground upwind, but couldn't, so ended up just making it back to this side of the beach and a massive walk all the way back from the estuary.

The sea was mad as well with waves coming from all directions and loads of backwash from the pebbles.

Should have taken the bigger sail across as a little more power would have made for an epic session.
